Nach den vielen Aquarellkolorationen in den letzten Tagen habe ich heute wieder einmal eine Karte mit Buntstiftkoloration für euch. Und das Beste: Es gibt sogar ein Video dazu!
After all my watercolor cards in the last few days I've finally got an image colored with colored pencils to share with you again. And the best thing about it - I even have a video to go with it.

Verwendet habe ich drei Stempel von Purple Onion Designs: Peep, das süße Vögelchen mit dem Blätterzweig im Schnabel, den knospenden Ast, Blossoming Perch, und den Grußtext, den ich einmal als Zugabe zu einer Bestellung erhalten habe. Bei der Gestaltung der Karte hat mir mein Misti großartige Dienste geleistet. Näheres dazu erfahrt ihr im Video:
I've used three stamps by Purple Onion Designs today: Peep, the cute birdy holding a tiny twig, the Blossoming Perch and a creeting that I once got as a goodie with one of my orders. When creating the scene my Misti was of enormous help for me. If you want to find out how just watch the video:
Koloriert habe ich die kleine Szene diesmal mit Luminance-Buntstiften von Caran d'Ache. Gefeiert werden die überall vor allem wegen ihrer Lichtechtheit, die mich persönlich allerdings weniger interessiert. Was mich an den Stiften total begeistert, ist ihr weicher, satter Farbauftrag, der dem der Prismacolor-Stifte gleicht. Zugleich sind die Luminance-Stifte aber nicht ganz so wachsig wie die Prismacolor-Stifte und von der Verarbeitung her um Längen besser. Der Nachteil: Die Farbpalette bei den Luminance ist eher klein, mir fehlen da vor allem Rosa- und Pinktöne, und die Qualität schlägt sich natürlich auch im Preis nieder. Wer gerne mit Buntstiften koloriert, sollte sie allerdings bei Gelegenheit unbedingt mal ausprobieren. Mein Tipp, wenn ihr nur mal einen Stift testen wollt: Kauft euch den weißen, der ist auf dunklem Cardstock wunderbar deckend und kann auch Farbstifte anderer Marken sichtbar aufhellen.
For my coloring I've used Luminance pencils by Caran d'Ache this time. Lots of artists celebrate them for their lightfastness. This, however, is a property I'm not so much interested in. What really excites me about them is their soft and deep color application, which is very similar to that of the Prismacolor pencils. The Luminance, however, are not as waxy as the Primacolor and much more sturdy at the same time. The downside is that they have a rather small color palette. I'm particularly missing some pinks. And of course their superiour quality is reflected in their price, which is rather high. However, if you love to use colored pencils you should give them a try one day. My advice if you only want to invest in a single color: Buy the white one. On dark cardstock it's wonderfully opaque and you can visibly brighten up darker colors with it - no matter what brand they are.
