Hallo, ihr Lieben! Heute ist Weltkartenmachtag, oder Neudeutsch World Cardmaking Day (was übrigens ausnahmsweise mal etwas besser klingt als der deutsche Begriff finde ich). In den letzten Jahren habe ich diesen Termin irgendwie immer verpasst, aber dieses Jahr möchte ich auf meinem Blog wenigstens eine Karte zeigen, und sei es nur, um zu zeigen, dass ich dieses Hobby wirklich ernst nehme. ;o)

Für meine heutige Karte habe ich zwei für mich neue Produkte von Avery Elle eingeweiht: das süße Einhorn und die unheimlich geniale "Burst"-Stanze. Mit der habe ich monatelang geliebäugelt, und auf dem Stempelmekka habe ich dann endlich zugeschlagen.
For today's card I made first use of two new to me products by Avery Elle: the cute unicorn and the amazing "Burst" die. I had already had an eye on this for months but always dreaded the expense until I finally settled for the purchase at the stamp show I attended recently.

Das Einhorn habe ich mal wieder mit Luminance-Stiften koloriert. Die liebe ich im Moment wirklich sehr (aber keine Angst, meine Polychromos habe ich noch nicht ausrangiert, die hole ich bestimmt auch bald wieder raus). Und wer genau hinsieht, kann erkennen, dass ich den Hintergrund ganz leicht mit Distress Ink gewischt habe, um ein paar zartrosa Sonnestrahlen einzufügen.
To color the unicorn I again used Luminance pencils. I really do love them very much recently (but don't fear I didn't discard my Polychromos, I still love them as well and will sure be cloring with them again soon). And if you're looking closely you might see that I also lightly sponged the background with Distress Inks to add a few soft pink rays.
