Heute gibt es von mir zur Abwechslung mal keine Karte, sondern eine gerahmte Szene. Die Motive darauf hatte ich schon vor einiger Zeit koloriert, und eigentlich wollte ich eine Karte daraus machen. Aber dann habe ich gemerkt, dass die komplette Szene für eine Standardkarte viel zu groß ist, und DIN-A5-Karten mag ich nicht so gerne, daher habe ich ein Bild daraus gemacht.
Today I'm not sharing a card but a framed scene. I already colored the images shown here a while ago and originally I wanted to create a card with them. But then I realized that the whole scene is much to large for a standard sized card, and as I don't really like oversized cards I decited to frame my images.

Die Motive stammen alle aus dem neuesten Release von Purple Onion Designs, Snowy Day. Koloriert habe ich sie mit Museum-Aquarell-Stiften von Caran d'Ache. Die benutze ich in letzter Zeit unheimlich gerne, weil sie so schön weich sind und auch im trocknen Zustand einen satten Farbauftrag ermöglichen. Da sie außerdem extrem lichtecht sind, eigenen sie sich für ein gerahmtes Motiv wie dieses, das lange Zeit direkter Sonneneinstrahlung ausgesetzt ist, besonders gut. So bleiben die Farben lange erhalten.
They all formed part of the latest Purple Onion Designs Release Snowy Day. I colored them using Museum Aquarelle pencils by Caran d'Ache. I'm really fond of them lately because they are wonderfully soft and allow for a rich coverage even when applied dry only. As they additionally are very lightfast they are the perfect choice for coloring images that shall go in a frame where they are exposed to direct sunlight for quite some time. That way you can be sure that the colors shall be preserved for quite some time.

Habt ihr auch schon mal Bildszenen aus Stempeln gestaltet? Mir gefällt die Idee im Moment sehr gut und ich überlege, eine Jahreszeitenserie daraus zu machen, damit ich je nach Saison ein anderes Motiv in den Rahmen einfügen kann.
Have you already created framed scenes with stamps yourself? I'm really in love with this idea presently and I'm considering to make a series of scenes so that I'll be able to exchange the images according to the season.
