Für die laufende Coloring Challenge von Kathy Racoosin habe ich kürzlich ein wenig mit unterschiedlichen Kolorationstechniken bei der Verwendung klassischer Aquarellfarben experimentiert. Dabei sind zwei Karten mit demselben Layout entstanden, die stilistisch völlig verschieden sind.
Taking Kathy Racoosin'scurrent Coloring Challenge as an opportunity I experimented with different coloring techniques using traditional watercolors. In doing so I came about with two different cards that are based on the same layout while expressing a completely different style.

Die erste Karte ist sehr leicht und pastellig mit lasierenden Farbschichten in No-Line-Kolorationstechnik gestaltet.
For the first card I used very light and pastel colors and applied the no-line coloring technique.

Die zweite Karte ist das genaue Gegenteil davon. Hier habe ich die Farbe sehr flächig und intensiv aufgetragen, nachdem ich die Stempelkonturen zuvor in Gold embossed habe.
The second card is the exact opposite of the first. Here I applied the colors rather smoothly in a hugely pigmented concentration after having embossed the stamped outlines in gold.

Auf dem obigen Bild wirkt die Gestaltung durch den etwas ungünstigen Lichteinfall beim Fotografieren ein bischen flach, unten hingegen kann man gut erkennen, wie wunderbar sich das strahlende Gold und die kräftigen Farben ergänzen.
Because of the awkward light incidence when taking the photo the overall design appears to be a bit flat judging from the image above. Below, however, you can easily see how wonderfully the gold embossing and the bright colors complement each other.
