Hier im Rheinland tobt zwar gerade der Karneval, aber auch der Valentinstag ist nicht mehr weit. Schon nächsten Mittwoch dürfen wieder ganz viele Liebesgrüße verteilt werden. Hier bei uns in Deutschland hat das zwar keine sonderlich große Tradition, aber ein kleiner Gruß für den Liebsten ist für mich als Stemplerin doch Pflicht.
Here, in the Rhineland we're currently celebrating carnival but soon it will also be Valentine's Day. In fact it will already be here next Wednesday. Although it's not a huge tradition in Germany, as a cardmaker I love to create a little something for my sweetheart on that occasion.

Für dieses Mini-Kärtchen habe ich Stempel von Purple Onion Designs mit einer sehr gewitzten Umschlagsstanze von Lawn Fawn kombiniert. Gewitzt deshalb, weil der Umschlag aus einem großen Herz besteht, das zu einem Umschlag zusammengefaltet wird. (Leider habe ich vergessen, den Umschlag im geöffneten Zustand zu fotografieren, aber im Netz findet ihr einige Beispiele dazu.)
For this mini card I combined stamps by Purple Onion Designs with a smart envelope die by Lawn Fawn. I'm calling it smart because the envelope is made from a large heart die-cut, which is being folded down to an envelope. (Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the opened envelope but you can easily find images of it online.)

Der Umschlag ist gerade groß genug, um eine Gutscheinkarte aufzunehmen. Man kann also durchaus noch ein materielle Geschenk reinpacken. Ich habe mich allerdings dafür entschieden, lediglich einen lieben Gruß hineinzustecken. Kombiniert habe ich dafür eine Rechteck- und eine Wortstanze, die ebenfalls in dem Umschlagsstanzenset von Lawn Fawn enthalten sind, sowie einen Grußtext von Purple Onion Designs, den ich nur partiell gestempelt habe.
The envelope is just large enough to hold a gift card so you can easily put something material inside. However, I decided to just put a notecard with a love greeting inside. To do so I combined a rectangle and a word die, which also come with the envelope die set, with a partially stamped greeting stamp by Purple Onion Designs.

Das süße Häschen auf der Umschlagvorderseite habe ich mit Copics koloriert und die Landschaftselemente (Gras und Wolken) mit Distress Inks gewischt.
The cute bunny on the front is colored with Copics, whereas the landscape elements (grass and clouds) are sponged with Distress Inks.
