Heute habe ich leider schon meinen letzten Auftritt in der Rolle des Surprise Party Guests bei Seize the Birthday. Es hat wirklich Spaß gemacht, das Team die letzten beiden Monate zu unterstützen, und künftig werde ich sicher wieder oft als Teilnehmerin dabei sein. Dieses Mal gibt es kein optinales Topping für die Challenge, das Thema für die nächsten vierzehn Tage lautet schlicht und einfach "Alles geht" (nur eine Geburtstagskarte muss es sein).
Today it's already my last appearance in the role of the Surprise Party Guest over at at Seize the Birthday. It was a lot of fun to assist the DT for the last two month and you'll definitely see me participating in future challenges again. This time there's no optional topping for the challenge. The simple prompt for the next two weeks is "Anything Goes" (as long as you keep it a birthday card).

Ich habe die Gelegenheit genutzt, meine neue Shadow-Box-Card-Stanze von Lawn Fawn einzuweihen. Als die letztes Jahr rauskam, hat sie mich zuerst gar nicht interessiert. Beim letzten Release war dann aber dieses wunderschöne Theatre Add-on für die Stanze dabei, und als ich die sah, musste ich die Shadow Box unbedingt haben. Denn ich liebe gut gemachte Theaterstücke (tatsächlich hab ich dieses Metier ursprünglich sogar mal studiert), und da ich außerdem ziemlich anglophil bin, liegt mir Shakespeare natürlich ganz besonders am Herzen. Daher habe ich hier mit diversen Lawn-Fawn-Materialien auch ein Stück von ihm dargestellt. Erkennt ihr es?
I used the opportunity to play with Lawn Fawn's new-to-me Shadow Box Card. I must admit that it didn't particularly intrigue me when it was released last year. But when I saw the wonderful Theatre Add-On that came with the last release I could no longer resist. I simply love well done plays (actually, I've studied this profession many, many years ago), and as I'm furthermore particularly disposed to all things British, Shakespeare is especially dear to me. That's why I tried to depict one of his plays here using quite a few Lawn Fawn supplies. Do you recognize it?

Es ist natürlich der Sommernachtstraum. Macht euch allerdings keinen Kopf, falls ihr falsch gelegen haben solltet. Mein Puck sieht zugegebenermaßen ein bisschen aus wie Tinkerbell - das könnte durchaus für Verwirrung sorgen. Mir reicht es schon, wenn die Person, für die diese Karte bestimmt ist, versteht, was darauf zu sehen ist.
It is, of course, A Midsummer Night's Dream. But don't be disappointed in case you guessed wrong. My Puck admittedly looks a lot like Tinkerbell - which sure could cause some confusion. I'll be happy enough if at least the person the card was made for will understand what's being staged here.
