Vor einigen Tagen habe ich euch ja ein paar Karten mit süßen Eckenguckern aus einem neuen Stempelset von danipeuss gezeigt. Im gleichen Release gab es noch ein Set, das es mir absolut angetan hat. Es heißt "Denglisch" und enthält einen Haufen deutscher Sprichwörter, die auf Englisch übersetzt wurden - allerdings nicht sinngemäß sondern wortwörtlich. Dadurch entstehen ganz grandiose Nonsens-Sprüche, die mir vor Lachen minutenlang Tränen in die Augen getrieben haben. Mein Lieblingsspruch aus dem Set ist "Enjoy Life in Full Trains", weil es in sich so schön widersprüchlich ist - aber zugleich auch eine wundervolle Lebensweisheit sein kann. Natürlich musste ich sofort eine Karte damit machen, und die sieht so aus:
A few days ago I shared a some cards using a sweet group of corner peekers from a new stamp set by danipeuss. The same release came with another set I've been totally taken with. It's called "Denglish" and comes with a bunch of German proverbs that have been translated to English - literally however, not analogously. This results in some hilarious nonsense greetings, which drove tears to my eyes because I was laughing so hard. My favorite sentence is "Enjoy Life in Full Trains" (a literal translation from German for "enjoy life to the full") because on the one hand it's so wonderfully self-contradictory whereas on the other it's full of worldy wisdom. Of course, I had to make a card with it. And here it is:

Die "Little Agenda Trains" von Mama Elephant waren ein absolutes Muss für diese Karte. Kombiniert habe ich sie mit zahlreichen anderen Agenda-Motiven sowie der tollen Slider-Stanzen von Lawn Fawn. Die half mir dabei, den Zug richtig schön lang und voll zu kriegen. Passend zur Paradoxie des Spruchs, fährt der Zug überdies in zwei Richtungen gleichzeitig.
Mama Elephant's "Little Agenda Trains" were an absolut must for this card. I combined them with a few other Agenda images as well as with Lawn Fawn's great slider die. It helped me to create a real long and full train. In line with the paradox of the greeting the train also drives in two directions at once.

Das Zusammensetzen des Motivs - besonders des Hintergrunds mit Bergen und Gelände - war nicht ganz einfach. Es hat mich einige Nerven gekostet, bis die Karte einigermaßen so aussah wie ich sie mir vorgestellt habe. Aber sie hat bei den Menschen, denen ich sie gezeigt habe, schon für so viele Lacher gesorgt, dass ich denke, die Arbeit hat sich gelohnt.
Unfortunately, assemling the card was not as easy as I thought it might be. Especially creating the continuous background with the ground and the mountains cost me quite a few nerves. But so far everyone I shared this card with laughed hard about the scene. Thus, I think it was well worth the effort.

Koloriert habe ich alle Motive mit Aquarellstiften. Den Himmel hinter den Bergen habe ich außerdem noch mit einem kleinen Hauch Distress Inks gewischt.
I colored all images with watercolor pencils. And I also added a hint of Distress Inks to the sky behind the montains in the background.
