Nachdem ich am Mittwoch zwei Muttertagskarten vorgestellt habe, ist heute eine Karte für die Väter dran. Bis zum Vatertag ist es zwar noch ein bisschen hin, aber man muss ja nicht immer alle Karten auf den letzten Drücker machen.
After having shared two Mother's Day cards on Wednesday I'm back with a Father's Day card in today's post. I know it's still time to make them but there's not need to get them done at the last minute if we do have enough time earlier, is there?

Das von mir gewählte Motiv ist zwar nicht gerade typisch für eine Vatertagskarte, greift aber ganz spezielle Vorlieben von meinem Vater und mir auf und wird dadurch zu einem sehr persönlichen Präsent. Mein Vater ist nämlich ein großer Hundefan, während ich immer viel lieber eine Katze gehabt hätte. Daher grüßen ihm zum Vatertag nun ganz viele Hunde, aber eine kleine Katze muss natürlich auch mit aufs Bild.
The scene I created might not be typical for a Father's Day card but it refers to some of my father's an my likings and thus turns it into a rather indivitual present: My father has always been fond of dogs whereas I preferred cats. That's why on Father's Day he'll be greeted by a whole pack of dogs but one little cat also had to be featured in the picture.

Das Stempelset, das ich hierfür benutzt habe, ist von danipeuss und heißt "Anton & Felix". Um die Tierchen so zu gruppieren, wie auf meiner Karte, war einiges an Maskierarbeit nötig, aber ich finde das Resultat niedlich, dass es mir die Mühe auf jeden Fall wert war.
The stamp set I used is by danipeuss and called "Anton & Felix". I had to do a bit of masking to group the critters the way I did, but I think the result looks so cute that it was definitely worth the effort.
