Übers Wochenende habe ich meinen Geburtstagskartenvorrat wieder etwas aufgefüllt und unter anderem diese Karte gestaltet.

Die zwei süßen Critter stammen von Purple Onion Designs. Koloriert habe ich sie mit Aquarellstiften. Statt der kräftigen Farben, die ich normalerweise bevorzuge, habe ich mich diesmal bewusst für etwas gedecktere Nuancen entschieden, um der Szene das Flair eines alten Kinderbuchs zu verliehen, denn genau daran erinnern mich die zauberhaften Illustrationen von Stacey Yacula immer wieder.
The two cute critter stamps are manufactured by Purple Onion Designs. I colored them with watercolor penicls. Instead of the bright colors I tend to grab most of the time I deliberately chose more muted shades this time to create the atmosphere of an old children's book for my scene - because this is what I always think of when I see Stacey Yacula's magical illustrations.
