Ganz Deutschland ist verschneit. Ganz Deutschland? Nein, ein kleines wiederspenstiges Städchen am Rhein leistet erbitterten Widerstand gegen die weißen Flocken. Naßkalt und grau ist es in Köln und so wird es die nächsten Tage wohl auch bleiben. Inspiriert von meinem Blick aus dem Fenster ist am Wochenende diese Karte entstanden.
All of Germany is occupied by snow. All? Not quite! A stubborn little city on the Rhine is fiercely resisting the white flakes. It's wet, cold and grey over here in Cologne and it doesn't look like there's going to be a change in the weather soon. Inspired by the view from my window I created this card over the weekend.

Meine Tochter hatte ein paar Mini-Gorjuss-Stempel in ihrem Adventskalender, und das Motiv mit dem Regenschirmmädchen hatten wir beide vor einiger Zeit koloriert. Während sie direkt eine Karte für ihre Freundin daraus gemacht hat, lag meine Koloration noch ungenutzt herum. Um das Motiv fertigzustellen, habe ich eine Maske ausgeschnitten, das Mädchen damit abgedeckt und den Hintergrund mit Distress Inks gewischt. Abschließend habe ich noch ein paar Wassertropfen und etwas Silberfarbe darauf gespritzt - fertig war die kleine Szene.
My daughter found some mini Gorjuss stamps in her Advent calendar, and we both colored the umbrella girl one afternoon not long ago. While she quickly turned her image into a card for a friend mine had still by lying unused on my craft table. To finish it, I cut a mask from masking paper, covered the girl with it and sponged the background with Distress Ink. To finish the little scene of I sprizt it with some water and a bit of silver paint.
