Juhuu, es ist wieder es soweit! Bei Purple Onion Designsstartet heute der Verkauf etlicher neuer Stempelmotive von Stacey Yacula. Diesmal werden sogar gleich zwei neue Kollektionen veröffentlicht: eine Mini-Kollektion namens "Once Upon A Time", in der sich alles um Lesen und Bücher dreht, und eine große Hauptkollektion mit dem Titel "Happy Trails", bei der die Themen Reisen und Urlaub im Zentrum stehen. Yes, it's that day again! Purple Onion Designs are releasing another bunch of fabulous stamps with beautifully illustrated images by Stacey Yacula. This time they're even coming out with with two new collections at once. The first one is a mini release entitled "Once Upon A Time" and includes some super cute images related to books and reading. The main collection with most of the new images is called "Happy Trails" and centers around traveling and vacation. If you want to take a closer look at the different images you'll find a video further down this post, in which I introduce them in detail.

Zunächst aber zu meinem ersten Projekt mit den neuen Stempeln. Ich habe mich diesmal wieder an eine interaktive Karte gewagt, eine Geburtstagskarte mit Sliderelement. Kombiniert habe ich dafür die Motive "Free Spirits" und "Street" aus der "Happy Trails" Kollektion. Um meinem Hauptmotiv, dem süßen Fuchs mit dem kleinen Frosch auf dem Fahrrad, nicht die Schau zu stehlen, habe ich den Hintergrund bewusst farblos gehalten. Durch ein paar Farbspritzer, die ich mit Distress Inks aufgebracht habe, wirkt er trotzdem lebendig. Das Hauptmotiv habe ich mit Polychromos-Stiften koloriert.
For a start, however, let's take a look at the first project I made with the new images. I once again opted for an interactive card - a birthday card with a slider element. To do so I combined two images from the "Happy Trails" collection - "Free Spirits" and "Street". As I didn't want my background to distract too much from my focal image - the sweet fox with his little friend the frog on the bicycle - I deliberately left it colorless. I just spritzed on some tiny drops of Distress Ink to add a more vivid feel to it. For coloring my focal image I used Polychromos pencils.
