Heute zeige ich euch eine Karte, auf der ich zum ersten Mal mit Alcohol Inks gearbeitet habe.
Today I'm sharing a card on which I used alcohol inks for the first time.

Nachdem ich in den letzten Monaten auf verschiedenen Bastelblogs immer wieder über dieses Medium gestolpert bin, wollte ich es nun auch einmal selbst ausprobieren. Zum Testen habe ich zunächst mit Materialien gearbeitet, die ich bereits zu Hause hatte: Copic Refills (Various Ink) - denn auch das sind ja Tinten auf Alkoholbasis -, Copic Cleaner - identisch mit der Flüssigkeit im Copic Blender Pen - und Speciality Stamping Paper von LaBlanche, das über eine glatte, nicht-poröse Oberfläche verfügt, was wichtig ist für das Arbeiten mit Alcohol Inks.
After I've seen quite a few interesting projects done with this medium on various card making blogs I decided that I wanted to try it out myself. For the purpose of testing I fist used supplies I already had at home: Copic refills (Various Ink) - which are nothing but alcohol inks - Copic Blending Solution and Speciality Stamping Paper by LaBlanche, which has a smooth non-porous surface which is important for working with alcohol inks.

Mit diesen drei Materialien entstand der blaue Hintergrund, den ihr auf meiner heutigen Karte seht. Er gefiel mir auf Anhieb, und weil er mich sofort ans Meer denken ließ, habe ich ihn mit einem süßen Delfin von Clearly Besotted kombiniert. Dem macht das Planschen im Wasser augenscheinlich so viel Spaß wie mir das Matschen mit Alcohol Inks. Und so sicher wie Klein-Flipper sich gleich in die nächste Welle stürzen wird, werde ich mich schon bald wieder mit Alcohol Inks beschäftigen. Denn die haben echtes Suchtpotenzial.
Using all those supplies I created the blue background you see on today's card. I fell in love with it instantly, and because it made me think of the sea I combined it with a cute dolphin by Clearly Besotted. Apparently, he loves to splash with water as much as I love to play around with alcohol inks. And just as sure as Flipper is going to dive deep down into the next wave I'll very soon be playing with alcohol inks again. They sure are addictive.
