Do you remember the Father's Day card I shared last Wednesday? The positive die cut left over from when I made the background was still lying on my craft table and I used it to create another male card.

Im Großen und Ganzen habe ich mich bei der Gestaltung an der Vorgängerkarte orientiert. Allerdings habe ich den Hintergrund diesmal nicht mit Distress Inks, sondern mit Oxides gewischt. Wer genau hinsieht, kann erkennen, dass der Farbauftrag weicher, aber auch etwas matter ist als bei den klassischen Inks. Grundsätzlich gefällt mir Beides, wobei sich die Oxides leichter auftragen und verblenden lassen, was ihnen zwei große Pluspunkte verschafft.
On the whole I followed my previous design when I made it. However, this time I did not use Distress Inks for the background but Distress Oxides. If you're looking closely you might see that the color transitions are softer whereas the color itself looks a bit more greyish and less bright than when working with traditional Distress Inks. Basically, I love both mediums. The Oxides however are easier to apply and blend and thus win some extra points.
