Als ich klein war habe ich unheimlich gerne geschaukelt. Mein Vater hatte damals extra für mich eine Schaukel in unserem Garten aufgebaut, und bei schönem Wetter tat ich nichts lieber, als mich darauf zu setzen und mir den Wind durch die Haare wehen zu lassen. Kein Wunder also, dass es mir April, ein kleiner Hase auf einer Schaukel, aus dem neuen Release von Purple Onion Designs besonders angetan hat.
When I was little I totally loved to swing. My father had set up a swing for me in our garden, and when the weather was good enough I couldn't get there fast enough to sit down and let the wind tangle up my hair. No surprise then that April, a cute bunny on a swing, is among my favorite images form the new release by Purple Onion Designs.

Kombiniert habe ich ihn mit einem schon etwas älteren Ast-Motiv aus einer früheren Kollektion. Für die Koloration habe ich wieder einmal Copics verwendet. Den Rasen und die Wolken im Hintergrund habe ich mit Distress Inks gewischt. Dazu habe ich mir aus unterschiedlichen Randstanzen von Lawn Fawn ein paar Schablonen erstellt.
I combined it with a branch form a former collection, which is still available at the shop. For my coloring I once again used Copics. The grass and the clouds in the background are sponged with Distress Inks through a few stencils I made by myself using different border dies by Lawn Fawn.

Die Schaukel im Garten meiner Eltern gibt es heute leider nicht mehr. Aber zum Glück habe ich eine Tochter, die hin und wieder noch gerne auf den Spielplatz geht. Da kann ich mich dann auch noch mal auf eine Schaukel setzen und mir den Wind durch die Haare wehen lassen. Nur für's Kind natürlich...
Unfortunately, the swing in my parent's garden no longer exists. But I'm lucky to have a daughter who still loves to go the playground then and again. There, I too can sit on a swing once again and let the wind tangle up my hair. Just to do my little one a favor, of course...
