Juhu, ihr Lieben! Es ist wieder so weit, es gibt einen neuen Release bei Purple Onion Designs. "Mistletoe Farm" heißt die neue Kollektion, die wieder einmal aus vielen wunderschönen Motiven von Stacey Yacula besteht. Wie der Name vielleicht erahnen lässt, dreht sich diesmal alles um das Leben auf dem Bauernhof.
Yay lovelies! The day has come, there's another new release at Purple Onion Designs. It's called "Mistletoe Farm" and features lots of wonderful new images by Stacey Yacula. And as you might already have guessed by the name it's overall theme is life on the farm.

Neben Pferden, Gänsen, Schweinen und Kühen wohnen selbstverständlich auch Hühner auf der Mistletoe Farm. Und genau die haben es auch auf meine allererste Karte mit Motiven aus dem neuen Release geschafft. Koloriert habe ich das lustige Federvieh mit Copics. Zuerst wusste ich nicht genau, wie ich die Struktur des Gefieders umsetzen sollte, aber dann habe ich ein bisschen rumexperimentiert und herausgefunden, dass einfache Tupfer in verschiedenen Braunschattierungen auf einer schlichten Grundkoloration in einem hellen Ockerton ein hervorragendes Ergebnis liefern. Probiert es auch einfach mal aus, es ist leichter als ihr denkt.
Aside from horses, geese, pigs and cows chickens too are living on Mistletoe Farm. And they are the the stars of the first card I made with images from the new release. I colored the fun poultry with Copics. First, I didn't really know how to make the plumage look real, but then I started to experiment a bit and found that plain dots in different shades of brown on a simple ocher base color provide an excellent result. Just try for yourselves. It's easier than you might think.
