I fall from all clouds. You're flabbergasted? So am I!

Hallo allerseits! Erinnert ihr euch noch an das witzige "Denglisch"-Set von danipeuss, in dem deutsche Sprichwörter durch wortwörtliche Übersetzung ins Englische verballhornt werden? Heute habe ich noch eine Karte mit einem Spruch aus diesem Set für euch.
Hi everyone! Do you remember the fun "Denglisch" set by danipeuss I wrote about recently? The one with the German proverbs that have been literally translated into English. Today I have another card to share I made with this set.


Der Spruch, um den es heute geht, heißt "aus allen Woken fallen". Und genau das geschieht hier mit dem kleinen Affen auf meiner Karte. Allerdings wirkt er ganz zufrieden mit seinem Zustand und kein bisschen verblüfft, wie man das bei jemandem erwarten würde, der aus allen Wolken fällt. Allerdings wäre ich wahrscheinlich ziemlich verblüfft, wenn ich einen kleinen Affen sehen würde, der an einem Regenschirm durch die Wolken segelt. Insofern passt der Spruch doch wieder ganz gut zu der auf der Karte dargestellten Szene.
The sentiment I chose for today's card reads "I fall from all clouds". In English this basically means "I'm flabbergasted" and has obviously nothing to do with clouds and skys. If I saw a monkey gliding through the sky on an umbrella, however, I'd probably be quite flabbergasted, even if it looked as cute as the little guy on this card. So in the end the sentiment and the image go quite well together.



Koloriert habe ich ihn mit Buntstiften. Der Hintergrund ist mit Distress Inks gewischt.
To color him in I used colored pencils. The background was sponged with Distress Inks.
