Hallo, ihr Lieben! Es ist Mittwoch und mal wieder Zeit für eine neue Herausforderung auf dem Stempelküche-Challenge-Blog. Diesmal lautet unser Thema "(H)uhu" und meine Beispielkarte dazu sieht so aus:
Hello everyone! It's Wednesday and time again for another challenge over at Stempelküche challenge blog. This time our prompt is "(H)uhu". It's a pun in German, which combines the word for owl (Uhu) with the term "huhu", a colloquial interjection meaning "yoohoo" - rather untranslatable, I guess. Anyway, this is my inspiration card for you:

Meine Tochter ist im Moment im Harry-Potter-Fieber, daher musste ich beim Thema Eule sofort an Hogwarts denken und habe ein paar Stempel und Stanzen von Mama Elephant zu einer entsprechenden Szene kombiniert.
My daughter recently caught the Harry Potter bug that's why I instantly thought of Hogwarts when I read the prompt. I grabbed some stamps and dies by Mama Elephant and combined them to an appropriate scene.

Die süße Eule habe ich mit Copics koloriert und den Nachthimmel im Hintergrund mit Oxide Inks gewischt.
I colored the sweet owl with Copics and sponged the night sky with Oxide Inks.

Bei so einer magischen Karte wollte ich mich auch mal an einem ungewöhnlichen Kartenformat mit zwei seitlichen Klappelementen versuchen. Die Basis der Karte besteht aus einem schwarzen Kartenrohling bei dem ich auf der Vorderseite den Schlosshintergrund ausgestanzt habe. Für die zerklüftete Landschaft in Dunkelgrau habe ich ein separates Stück Cardstock verwendet, das ich auf einer Seite mit einer kleinen Lasche versehen habe. Mit dieser habe ich den grauen Cardstock am Kartenrohling festgeklebt und dann das Stück Papier mit meinem Nachthimmel darübergeklebt.
For a magical card like this I also wanted to use an unusual card form and opted for one with two side folds. I started with a black card base which I die-cut at the front with the castle border. For the rugged landscape I used a seperate piece of cardstock in dark grey which I created with a small flap to one side. I glued down this flap to the inside of the back of my card base and put the piece of cardstock with my night sky on top.
