Hallo, ihr Lieben! Die Sonne zeigt sich heute morgen bei mir und ich komme richtig in Frühlingsstimmung. Genau wie die süßen Schaukelfreunde, die ich euch letzte Woche schon vorgestellt habe. Diesmal schaukeln sie nicht hoch oben in den Wolken, sondern etwas geerdeter an einem Baum.
Hello everyone! The sun is coming out right in front of my window and I'm eventually feeling like spring is on it's way. The same probably goes for the fun bunch of critters on the swing, which I already introduced last week. This time they're not swinging on cloud number nine but are a little more grounded as their swing is more traditionalley fastened to a tree branch.

Obwohl die Koloration recht ähnlich ausschaut, habe ich diese Truppe nicht mit Bunt- sondern mit Aquarellstiften koloriert. Ich habe dabei allerdings ähnliche Farben verwendet, sodass man den Unterschied am ehesten von Nahem erkennen kann. Grundsätzlich verwende ich beim Kolorieren mit Bunt- und Aquarellstiften eine ähnliche Technik, wobei der Vorteil von Aquarellstiften darin besteht, dass sich schneller Grundfarbauftrag erzielen lässt, auf dem man anschließend die Schatten, Kontraste und, wie hier, Fellzeichnung aufsetzen kann. Buntstiftkolorationen dauern bei mir länger, allerdings gefällt mir die dabei entstehende Struktur oft auch besser. Daher ist es meist eine Frage der Zeit, für welches der beiden Medien ich mich entscheide.
Although the colorings look quite similar, I did not use colored pencils but watercolor pencils on this card. I did, however, use similar colors so that the differences are best seen in the close-up. Basically, I'm working with the same techniques when coloring with colored and watercolor pencils. The advantage with watercolor pencils is that you can apply the base layer much quicker. I usually need more time to color with colored pencils, but I often prefer the sructure obtained when coloring with this medium, so it's a question of time, which of them I turn to.
